The Schuwirth Landing Gear Lever is a purpose-built landing gear control unit designed for soaring and flight simulation enthusiasts looking for realistic mechanical feedback and reliable operation. Built around linear rails and a spring-loaded locking mechanism, the lever reproduces the characteristic movement and feel of real glider landing gear systems.
A spring-loaded safety return system forces the lever toward the DOWN position whenever the landing gear is not locked — built to reinforce the habit of locking the gear, an important procedure in real glider operations.
The structure is manufactured using durable ASA components combined with precision linear rails, for smooth operation, long-term durability, and resistance to wear and temperature variation.
A front-mounted selector switch gives two operating modes: Condor mode (timing-based — a full lever travel in under 6 seconds triggers a single gear up/down command; slower movement enters a reset mode so the lever can be repositioned without triggering the command) and MSFS mode (dual-endstop — each end of travel is its own independent switch, mapped directly to the simulator’s native UP/DOWN logic).
Connects via USB-C to USB-A. Mounts on 4040 or 4080 aluminum extrusion profiles (brackets can be installed on either side); default configuration ships for 4080 profiles unless otherwise requested.
Recognized automatically as a standard HID joystick device — no drivers, software, or calibration required.
